Google Goes Virtual

Most of us have heard of Linden Lab's Second Life, where members create their virtual selves and live in a virtual world. Today the net is crawling with reports of Google's answer. Namely a little app called Lively.

In true Google fashion, the application is "free". What we like about it, and we're sure our Facebook Fans will appreciate this, is that the application is already compatible with many websites, including Facebook. This means that you can post your virtual room, featuring your virtual self all over the web.

Needless to say we are currently building a room in Lively for us geeks which should be super cool. So go sign up and get your avatars ready. It's going to be a geekfest.

Plasma TV Review: Panasonic TH-PZ850U

Anyone who frequents openlygeek.com knows we are big fans of the Panasonic Viera Plasma TVs. We were pretty psyched for this particular plasma because we were really interested in Viera Cast which, among other things, integrates YouTube and the weather right on the display.

Enough with the suspense. Check the full review .
