While we don't sell cell phones on Openlygeek.com it doesn't mean we're not waiting with bated breath to get a gander at the once rumored G-Phone. No one knows who made it and it's specs have not been finalized. What we are sure of is that it is running Google's yet to be released Android Operating System. Just check out this video:
We should be seeing this phone this year. We'll pass on more when we have it.
*Update: This phone appears to be the HTC Dream
**6/23/2008: The phone also appears to be delayed until late 4th quarter.

Lost: One Day Away
Well we are one day away from the Lost Season Finale. Of course, you can follow the count down here.
If you're new to Lost perhaps you should think about throwing Season 1 on your Netflix subscription and getting yourself up to speed with the streaming video in HD on abc.com. Click on the season you're looking for and start at the bottom and work you're way up. The Player is pretty cool and in fact won a Webby. The combination of Netflix and Abc.com works really well and will get you ready for Season 5 in no time.
Then there's MadTv's take on Lost from none other than YouTube.
See you on the lost forums.

High Definition: The New Standard
It appears that High Definition is well on its way of becoming the standard for the vast viewing audience in the U.S.
Substantial data from the research firm NPD indicates that the consumer demand for high definition is in place and will outpace standard definition units for the first time since high definition players were introduced.
"Blu-Ray Players will outsell standard def DVD players by this August."

The Openly Geek Blog is Here!
This is the official announcement of the Openly Geek Blog brought to you by openlygeek.com.
How?
Well for starters unlike other online stores who publish blogs you can comment on ours. What's a blog if you can't drop a line telling us what losers we are. Go ahead, we can take it. We know deep down you love us.
We also know that's not enough of a reason to tune in everyday so we will be throwing in up to the minute news on new sites, articles, and products which we consider totally geek. We'll also throw in announcements of sales so our readers can take advantage of the latest deals.
We also hope to foster conversation and community. But of course there's more to it than that. We have some pretty special surprises on the way which already has a few fans sitting in anticipation. Stay tuned...
